仕事内容ファームウェアエンジニア

PowerX is hiring a Firmware Engineer to develop embedded firmware for battery and energy-related products. The role involves designing low-level drivers, creating firmware specifications, and testing/debugging in collaboration with hardware and software teams. The Engineering & Research Division consists of about 50 specialists across Series Development, Advanced Engineering, and Product Lifecycle Management.

About the Role

  1. PowerX develops and delivers energy storage and power transfer solutions, including battery systems, charging systems, and related energy management technologies.
  2. This role will focus on firmware development for embedded systems used in battery and energy-related products.
  3. Work closely with hardware, electrical, and software engineers to design, implement, test, and improve firmware.

About Engineering & Research Division

  1. Division responsible for end-to-end development of PowerX's hardware and software systems for energy storage and power transfer solutions.
  2. Consists of approximately 50 specialists organized into Series Development, Advanced Engineering, and Product Lifecycle Management teams.
  3. Series Development handles prototyping, testing, validation, requirements engineering, product handover, support, and commissioning.
  4. Advanced Engineering researches emerging technologies including embedded systems, PCB design, model-based development, battery management, power conversion, digital twins, edge computing, cloud solutions, and AI/ML-based optimization.
  5. Product Lifecycle Management manages product and project lifecycles across quality gates, sourcing, value engineering, manufacturing, and after-sales activities.
  6. Team values autonomy, ownership, and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in PowerX's battery and energy-related products.
  2. Design and implement low-level drivers and interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, GPIO, and timers.
  3. Create firmware specifications based on datasheets, reference manuals, schematics, and product requirements.
  4. Test, debug, and improve firmware in collaboration with hardware, electrical, and software engineers.

応募資格（必須）

  • Experience in embedded firmware development using C or C++.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and peripheral interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, and GPIO.
  • Ability to read device datasheets, reference manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience testing and debugging embedded systems using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or JTAG/SWD debuggers.
