As a QA Engineer, you will develop and establish development and quality assurance processes for a new digital bank project. - QA or development experience (3+ years)
- Experience in formulating software development processes or QA processes
- Holder of ISTQB (including JSTQB) Foundation Level certification or equivalent knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in information processing or computer science
- Interest in communication within a global development environment, as development is conducted jointly with overseas locations, and English will be used in work situations
- Japanese: Business level (N2 or above)

- We have partnered with Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to establish a new company in preparation for the launch of a new digital bank.
- We are currently seeking candidates for the position of QA as part of this initiative.
- ※ This position involves employment with Money Forward, Inc., and a secondment to the new company (SMBC Money Forward Bank Preparatory Corporation). The evaluation system and employee benefits will follow the policies of Money Forward, Inc.
Main Responsibilities
- As a QA Engineer, our goal is to shape the future of digital banking in Japan, making it more user-friendly and accessible than ever before.
- In this role, you will be responsible for developing and establishing development and quality assurance processes to ensure quality assurance measures.
- Design and manage the QA process integrated with our CI/CD pipeline.
- Planning test strategies, reporting defects, and making release decisions
- Planning, creating, and executing test cases for functional and non-functional requirements
- Facilitate consensus and strong alignment across key stakeholders (PdM, Development, SRE, Security, Operations, and Legal).

- Lead collaborative development, design reviews, and post-mortems with our international teams.
- Define quality governance specific to the banking domain, including formalizing release criteria, severity definitions (Sev1-3), traceability requirements, and audit readiness protocols.
