Research Scientist

Specific Job Responsibilities

1. 1Collaborate with local field teams in Japan and internationally, primarily overseas, to collect data on crops, soils, and greenhouse gas emissions.
2. 2Organize, clean, and preprocess datasets for machine learning model training and process-based model calibration.
3. 3Develop, calibrate, and validate models related to soil organic carbon, greenhouse gas emissions, tillage practices, and cover crop detection.
4. 4Contribute to proof-of-concept projects, taking responsibility for data collection, analysis, scientific writing, and intellectual property development under the guidance of senior researchers or mentors.
5. 5Support the scientific development of methodologies for carbon credit generation and MRV services.

応募資格（必須）

• Proven research achievements using mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Development of machine learning and statistical models.
• Fieldwork experience in agriculture or environmental sectors.
• Ability to write peer-reviewed papers independently (PhD).
• Proficiency in presenting research in English (communication with international business units, reviewing, and writing academic papers).
