  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong time-management and leadership skills.
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, investigation, validation, reconciliation, and test-data preparation.
  • Ability to read and understand code, trace system flows, and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as JIRA and GitLab.
  • Interest in learning and applying new technologies.

仕事内容

Job/Group Overview

Japan Regulatory Capital IT supports projects related to Regulatory Capital, Leverage Exposure, and Large Exposure.

These initiatives involve system enhancements driven by regulatory and product-scope changes, calculation-method updates, user-process changes, upstream and downstream system modifications, and platform upgrades.

As a Senior Business Analyst, the role involves:

Understanding and analyzing business requirements and reviewing BRDs

Assessing upstream data, existing functionality, required enhancements, and new functionality

Creating and reviewing FSDs

Obtaining business sign-off on FSDs

Explaining functional requirements in detail to developers

Preparing test data and conducting IT Quality Assurance testing

Supporting users during UAT and performing regression testing

Providing SME support for production issues

Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency are required for daily project communication and analysis. Business users and developers are based in Japan and India.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis and Quality Assurance

Support the regulatory system covering Regulatory Capital, Leverage Exposure, and Large Exposures. The system includes ETL, calculation and reporting, and GUI components.

Key Responsibilities

Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)

Clarify and validate user requirements.

Confirm that BRDs contain sufficient information to prepare FSDs.

Provide development teams with early visibility of expected changes.

Create Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)

Analyze BRDs and assess their completeness.

Understand relevant regulations, product scope, and changes to surrounding systems.

Identify required changes to data sourcing, processes, calculations, functions, and interfaces.

Propose solutions and confirm technical feasibility with development teams.

Validate detailed requirements with users and obtain FSD sign-off.

Perform IT Quality Assurance Testing

Prepare test data based on upstream changes, functional requirements, and end-to-end data flows.

Execute QA tests and document results.

Communicate defects to developers and perform retesting after fixes.

Review Other BAs’ Deliverables

Review FSDs and provide constructive feedback.

Assess test data for suitability, completeness, and coverage.

Review test cases for alignment with requirements and adequate scenario coverage.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Support users with test preparation, execution, issue clarification, and defect resolution.

Perform Regression Testing with Development Teams

Review regression test results.

Investigate and analyze variances.

Confirm that changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
