必須
- Master’s degree in health-related sciences or an equivalent qualification (e.g., six-year pharmacy degree, PharmD, PhD, or MD).
- Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), with at least three years of scientific or medical experience in the research-based pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong scientific and clinical expertise in lung cancer, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), together with an established and credible network of Key External Experts (KEEs) in the lung cancer field in Japan.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and manage an MSL team, including setting objectives and priorities, allocating work, monitoring execution and quality, providing coaching and performance feedback, and supporting capability development.
- Advanced capability in scientific exchange, medical insight generation, stakeholder engagement, presentation, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear recommendations and actions.
- Sound knowledge of the Japanese healthcare environment and applicable pharmaceutical laws, regulations, industry codes, and compliance requirements relevant to Field Medical activities.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English, with the ability to work effectively in a matrix and global environment, and willingness to travel domestically as required.

- MD, PhD, PharmD, or another relevant doctoral degree.
- Previous formal people-management experience in Medical Affairs or Field Medical, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and development of MSLs.
- Experience supporting an oncology product during development, pre-launch, launch, or an early lifecycle stage.
- Experience contributing to medical strategy and evidence-generation activities, advisory boards, medical education, or congress planning in oncology.

募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope
- The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Lead, Setidegrasib non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), serves as a trusted scientific partner to Key External Experts (KEEs) and internal stakeholders in Japan. The position leads compliant scientific exchange, medical insight generation, and execution of field medical plans to strengthen the Setidegrasib NSCLC medical strategy and support decisions that improve patient outcomes. The position also manages, coaches, and develops the assigned MSL team, ensuring aligned priorities, high-quality execution, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities

- Lead the development, deployment, and evaluation of tactical field medical plans for Setidegrasib NSCLC, aligned with the Japan medical strategy and patient-impact objectives.
- Build and sustain compliant, value-adding scientific partnerships with lung cancer KEEs and other relevant stakeholders; conduct high-quality peer-to-peer scientific exchange across the product life cycle.
- Generate, synthesize, and communicate actionable medical insights from field interactions, congresses, and the evolving NSCLC treatment landscape to inform medical strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
- Represent the Field Medical perspective in Japan Medical Affairs Team and cross-functional initiatives, proactively connecting stakeholders, sharing best practices, and removing barriers to collaboration.
- Lead and develop the assigned MSL team through effective prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, and capability development, fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
- Ensure all MSL activities are scientifically accurate, fair and balanced, non-promotional, and conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and Astellas policies and procedures.
