JP Seller Tech teamのSoftware Development Engineerとして、日本のサードパーティーセラーや顧客向けのAmazon体験を向上させます。ポイントシステムやAmazon Furusatoの開発・改善に携わり、要件定義、設計、コードの作成・テスト・デプロイ・保守、サービス運用を行います。

必須
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.) and standard professional software development tooling (Git, Linux, IDEs)
- Basic proficiency with coding acceleration using GenAI/Agentic tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
- Available to join in 2027 and within 2 years of graduation

- Proficiency developing networked applications that interact with a database or API

仕事内容
Description
- As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the JP Seller Tech team, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing the Amazon experience for Japanese third-party sellers and customers alike. Here's what you can expect:
- 1. Points System Enhancement: You'll work on improving how sellers interact with Amazon's Points systems, a critical feature in the Japanese market where customers highly value loyalty programs. This includes setting and resetting points, creating deals and campaigns, and ensuring seamless integration with Pricing, Promotions, and Listings systems.
- 2. Amazon Furusato: Join us in developing and improving our recently launched Amazon Furusato store, a platform facilitating tax-deductible donations to local governments in exchange for regional specialty gifts, working across domains such as search, product details, cart, checkout, payments, and accounting.
- 3. Strategic Initiatives: We are always dreaming up new ways for sellers to grow their businesses on Amazon. As we kick off new projects, you’ll have opportunities to do impactful work that aligns with your skills and aspirations.
Key job responsibilities
- Work with engineers, product managers, and partner teams to understand customer needs and translate them into well-defined technical requirements.
- Design solutions for scoped engineering problems with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Write, test, review, deploy, and maintain high-quality production code.
- Help operate the services you build by monitoring system health, diagnosing problems, and improving reliability and operational mechanisms.
- Contribute to technical designs and code reviews, incorporating feedback and communicating engineering decisions clearly.
- Use approved development and AI-assisted tools thoughtfully while remaining responsible for the security, correctness, and quality of your work.
