Job Description

1. 1Technical General position, you will be involved in a wide range of work across R&D, design (hardware and software), and production engineering, covering everything from product and equipment development to mass production based on optical technologies.
2. 2Depending on your assignment and projects, you will be able to leverage your expertise while working across diverse technical fields.
3. 3In product development, we take an integrated approach that combines optical design, electronic circuit design, mechanical design, and software design.
4. 4As a result, many employees who did not major in optics during their university studies are actively contributing and thriving.

Assignment Locations

1. 1Santec AOC Corporation (Optical Components Business)
2. 2Santec LIS Corporation (Optical Measurement Instruments Business)
3. 3Santec OIS Corporation (Ophthalmic Medical Devices Business)
4. 4There is no assignment to the Solution Business Division.
5. 5Assignment and role will be determined based on your expertise, preferences, and aptitude.

Research & Development

1. 1Responsible for creating new technologies and products, from basic research to prototyping and evaluation.
2. 2Research, planning, and technical studies for new products and technologies
3. 3Design, development, and evaluation of prototypes
4. 4Technical verification and performance evaluation with mass production in mind
5. 5Research aimed at improving performance and enhancing existing products

Design

1. 1Responsible for product specification planning, design, and evaluation, working collaboratively across optics, electronics, mechanics, and software.
2. 2Optical design
3. 3Electronic circuit design and PCB design
4. 4Mechanical design (mechanisms and drive systems) and enclosure design
5. 5Software design and programming

Examples of Duties

1. 1Design of control and measurement software for optical measurement instruments
2. 2Design and improvement of software embedded in medical devices
3. 3Design of electronic circuits and PCBs used in optical measurement equipment
4. 4Design and evaluation of optical communication components
5. 5Mechanical, electrical, and electronic design and evaluation of ophthalmic medical devices

Production Engineering

1. 1Responsible for establishing and improving production systems to achieve stable, high-quality mass production.
2. 2Product improvement design, prototyping, and evaluation
3. 3Design and improvement of manufacturing processes
4. 4Design of jigs and tools, and introduction of production equipment
5. 5Design and management of production lines

Manufacturing
