Backend Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties

1. 1Design the architecture, select technologies, implement, release, and continuously improve the service 'Money Forward Kakebarai,' primarily operated on Google Cloud.
2. 2Continuously find challenges and reflect changes into product features.
3. 3Plan how the product will operate before development and communicate within the team.
4. 4Create systems and operations that could quickly solve troubles.
5. 5Learn new technologies and share knowledge internally and externally.
6. 6Enjoy learning and taking on challenges to solve problems together as a team.

Development Methodology

1. 1Use Scrum methodology for development, focusing on creating prototypes with chosen architectures and technologies rather than spending too much time on planning.
2. 2Aim for small, frequent releases with one-week sprints incorporating GitOps for faster delivery, enabling release cycles at the PR level.
3. 3Since handling financial transactions, ensure the service functions correctly, considering error handling, retry methods, and responses to issues.

Technology Stack

1. 1Use technologies including Go, TypeScript, Nuxt.js, Remix, Nest.js, gRPC, GraphQL, OpenAPI Specification, MySQL, BigQuery, Datastore, Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Kong, OpenCensus/OpenTelemetry, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Operations, Firebase Authentication, SendGrid, Datadog, Sentry, Cloud Build, Github Actions.
2. 2These are not mandatory skills at the time of application, but expected to work using these technologies.
3. 3Use more microservices in architecture, focusing on how different services communicate, solving typical issues related to microservices and distributed systems.
4. 4Use serverless architecture with Cloud Run where scalability is required.

1. 1Balance the unique challenges of integrating 'SaaS,' 'BPO,' and 'Fintech' into a cohesive application.
2. 2Address non-functional requirements including eliminating security risks through continuous updates, managing growing operational complexity, and maintaining service boundaries as microservices and serverless architecture expand.

Work Environment

1. 1Provide PCs equipped with the latest CPUs (MacOS or Windows), with custom-made PCs tailored to business requirements and replacements with the latest OS possible.
2. 2Peripheral devices necessary for work (such as displays, mice, keyboards) can be purchased as office supplies, generally from standard products with non-standard products applicable under conditions.
3. 3Have a library system where books can be freely borrowed, and desired books can be purchased at the company's expense.

応募資格（必須）

• Experience developing with a web application framework, regardless of language
• Experience developing applications using RDBMS
• Experience developing with Golang or an interest in Golang
• Experience operating services long-term using cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
• Experience using container technologies like Docker
• Conversational-level Japanese proficiency
• Business-level English proficiency (equivalent to TOEIC score of 700 or higher)
