GNSS Receiver Evaluation Development Engineer

Job Overview

1. 1This position is responsible for the evaluation and verification of satellite-borne GNSS receivers, including integrated operation with the timekeeping control system and interface validation.
2. 2By leading interface design and coordination between externally procured GNSS receivers and the system, the role contributes to satellite orbit and time determination for LEO-PNT and LNSS.
3. 3The position also takes part in the in-house development of receivers for LEO-PNT and LNSS ground user terminals.

Specific Responsibilities

1. 1Define technical requirements and develop specifications for satellite-borne GNSS receivers; communicate requirements to and coordinate technically with external contractors.
2. 2Evaluate receiver characteristics for multi-constellation and multi-frequency support (GPS, Galileo, QZSS, etc.).
3. 3Assess quality of receiver observables (pseudorange, carrier phase, Doppler) and analyze error characteristics (C/N0, multipath, cycle slip, etc.).
4. 4Design and conduct GNSS receiver performance evaluation and functional verification using GNSS simulators.
5. 5Design and define interfaces between GNSS receivers and the timekeeping control system; conduct integration testing.
6. 6Provide technical feedback to the orbit and time determination team based on receiver evaluation results.
7. 7Develop receivers for LEO-PNT and LNSS ground user terminals in-house, including signal processing algorithm design and software-defined receiver implementation.

応募資格（必須）

• Hands-on experience evaluating and verifying GNSS receivers (observable quality assessment, C/N0 analysis, multipath analysis, etc.)
• Technical understanding of GNSS signal processing (acquisition, tracking, pseudorange measurement, carrier phase measurement, positioning computation)
• Experience designing interfaces between electronic devices and conducting integration testing (communication protocols, timing design, etc.)

• Experience implementing or evaluating high-accuracy positioning techniques (PPP, RTK, DGNSS, etc.)
• Knowledge of orbit and time determination algorithms (state estimation theory such as Kalman filters)
• Experience designing or developing time synchronization and timekeeping control applications using GNSS receivers
• Experience evaluating receivers using GNSS simulators
• Experience implementing receiver signal processing using software-defined radio (SDR) or FPGA
• Experience developing or evaluating space-borne equipment (space environment compatibility)

• Willingness to work in a Japanese-language environment for technical documentation and communication
