Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

1. 1Maximize the performance and impact of engineering teams.
2. 2Set team goals, track progress, and drive continuous improvement.
3. 3Improve engineering productivity, software quality, and development processes.
4. 4Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-value products.
5. 5Prioritize initiatives and manage project risks.
6. 6Balance delivery speed, product quality, and business value to achieve sustainable product delivery.
7. 7Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings, provide coaching and feedback, and support performance evaluations.
8. 8Help engineers grow through career development and mentoring.
9. 9Support individual growth using our Engineering Ladder framework.
10. 10Foster a psychologically safe and inclusive team environment.
11. 11Partner with Tech Leads to drive technical strategy.
12. 12Reduce technical debt and improve long-term maintainability.
13. 13Promote the adoption of AI development tools and emerging technologies.
14. 14Improve system quality, reliability, operability, and security.
15. 15Participate in hiring and recruitment.
16. 16Support onboarding and team integration.
17. 17Contribute to organizational design and cross-team improvement initiatives.

19. 19Collaborate with engineering teams across Japan, India, and Vietnam.

応募資格（必須）

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Experience in performance management, coaching, hiring, and developing engineers.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering successful outcomes.
• 5+ years of experience developing web applications or cloud-based services.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and operations.
• Strong interest in AI development tools, generative AI, and emerging technologies, with a passion for leveraging them to improve engineering processes and productivity.
• Experience leading product development projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in project prioritization and risk management.
• Professional proficiency in Japanese.
• A positive attitude toward working in an English-speaking environment.
